Levels of Membership
- $25 Subscriber - helps provide food and shelter for an animal at the refuge.
- $45 Generous Friend - helps provide quality care for an animal at the refuge.
- $120 Faithful Supporter - supports our spay/neuter programs to prevent unwanted births.
- $240 Guardian Angel - provides high quality medical care to animals with special needs.
- $540 Lifeline - changes lives by allowing us to rescue and find homes for up to a dozen animals.
- $1000 Golden Circle - supports all Western Plains Animal Refuge programs, and brings us closer to the time when there will be no more homeless pets.
We currently house about 100 animals at any given time, but we can
do more. The next phase of this work – building
a larger kennel facility to allow us to make a difference in the
lives of more animals – will take more work and help from people
like you. If you would like to donate to our building fund, click on the donate link at the bottom of this page. In the payment processing section, add the words "Building Fund" in the optional message section. You can also send checks payable to Western Plains Animal Refuge to:

Animal Health Center of Hays holds a monthly "Pay What You Can" Day on the third Thursday of each month. All standard services, excluding surgeries, are available on a donations-only basis.
Proceeds each month go to Western Plains Animal Refuge. Through this program, our outreach has grown beyond the borders of our town and into all of Kansas, and into Colorado and Missouri, as well.
